My Jersey Shore Challenge
I have to admit I am not a fan of Jersey Shore. I know it has become a huge pop phenomenon, but up to this point, I have refused to, what I call, “entertain the insane” by participating. Until now. I only watched part of one episode in the past and just couldn’t do it. I’m like that with a lot of reality show stars. I admit it…I’m a hater when it comes to “celebrities” who are famous for nothing.
Well, I decided I’m going to put that all aside and start my own Jersey Shore Challenge and watch the new season that starts tonight. The challenging part will not just be to watch the show, but to find out who my favorite Jersey Shore member is. I’m going to try to set aside my previous opinions of the cast that they are ridiculous, no-talent, fame-whores, look for the redeeming qualities, and by the end of the season tell you who my favorite cast member is. Check out the season premiere of Season 2 of Jersey Shore tonight at 10pm on MTV.

Since it seems that MTV plays that damn show constantly now, i felt compelled to have to watch an episode to two to see what the hype was about. I have to say that they all annoyed the hell out of me, but I just couldnt stop watching. It was like a bad car accident. I am not going to be home tonight to watch the new episode, but i did DVR it. I told my girlfriend that I didnt want to watch it and I semi argued with her just to make a point, but secretly I do want to watch it. I enjoy seeing dumb people beat the crap out of each other.
I couldn’t agree with you more! I started watching it on demand and lost interest after the 3rd or 4th episode. Although, weeks later I found out Snooki got punched in the face by a guy, and I thought to myself: Television was going downhill fast! This show has a trainwreck effect on my curiousity as i’m sure it does yours and I will just look for the redeeming qualities like you stated. Thank you Pebs! This will make me feel like an American idol judge! Haa, Wish me luck ! LOL
i think the jersey shore is the biggest insult to Americans. but really not only Americans, but Italian Americans. I am sure there are those who consider themselves, GUIDO’S, AND GUIDETTES, but lets face facts here. to glorify that part of things is like black people glorifying that totally racist word that they use. Give me the days when people were proud of being people. not those who are proud of being called slang racist terms.
Another thing that bothers me is this season should have started all ready, but if it wasnt for mainly Mike, AKA the Situation. He has become such the guido, that he actually had the cajones to demand a better contract or he, and other cast members, were going on strike. They are not guidos, and guidettes, they are devo’s and Diva’s.
I have to say the show is just one of those “dumb reality shows” but honestly they just crack me up I have to watch it. I’ll admit it I AM obsessed with watching Jersey Shore and I would say Vinny. Because Mike is just to cocky you kind of just wanna slap him sometimes and tell him to be quiet and he looks like Pop Eye. Pauly D is okay besides the fact that his hair is a HOT MESS! Ronnie and Sammi are alright they just need to decide if they are together or not already. Snooki & JWOW are just crazy sometimes annoying but they grow on you. But of course Vinny is the best and the hottest haha. But Pebbles I have a question why don’t you guys see if you can get them to the studio and maybe have people get a chance to meet them. Please!
I agree with you! reality tv sucks especially “shows” like jersey shore!!
My wife is obsessed with this show and watched it while I was trying to go to sleep last night on the DVR and it literally made me angry…to the point where I had to get up and leave the room. The fact that they call THAT show entertainment and waste airtime on it makes me want to throw my tv out the window. The Real World was bad enough (although I admit I was a fan of the first few seasons) but this is just ridiculous.

I have to admit, the Jersey Shore is my guiltiest pleasure! I love watching to see what kind of shananagans they are going to get into next. Obviously, there is no real “substance” to this show…it’s a reality show….few of them have substance. I watch it for pure comic relief after a stressful day. If people would just relax and not expect the show to solve the world’s problems and just sit back and be entertained, then I think more people might enjoy it.
Now, as far as my favorite cast member, I would definitely say J Wow. She is a beautiful, (albeit sometimes trashy) tough as nails girl who does not put up with any disrespect. She is also up front with everyone – if she doesn’t like you, you know it. And I have to respect that about her.

Ha, it’s ok – it annoys me as well.
I’m like you and don’t watch it. In fact, I haven’t even seen a single episode so technically I can’t knock it. However, I listen to your show enough to know it’s not something I want to see! Maybe I’ll give a shot one day if I actually remember. Highly unlikely though.
I love this friggen show… Ronnie and Sammie were my fav in season one… but this time around i have def grown more respect for DJ “pauly” D… and again Ronnie is in it as well.
Maybe Jwoww! she is like me dont take shit from anyone and will not stand for FAKE ass people….
I am seeing a guy who totaly reminds me “the sisutaion” as well. because he’s 100% italian… and this show had made me see what the italians do and why they can party the way they do… its in there BLOOD!!!!
I only got in to the show is because it became “water cooler” talk. Yes, it’s a ‘reality’ show, and that’s been out played for ass long, but it is by far the worse one out there
So fun! I haven’t really gotten into the show but I am wanting to! It’s around everywhere & it looks fun!!! =0)
